Shamanic Drum Birthing
Join Us On A Workshop

Our shamanic drum birthing workshops are being kept small at the moment as we're currently not booking larger venues due to the Covid-19 restrictions.

We can accommodate small numbers in our own home in Lincolnshire and we have options for slightly larger workshops if you'd like to host your own.

The host gets their drum free!*

Small Scale Workshops

We can accommodate up to three people in our own home. We're happy to do a one-to-one workshop or to book you in with a friend or two.

Log BurnerKeeping warm

For groups of up to six people we can work in the lovely rustic barn in my mum's back garden.

There's a log burner to keep the chill away in the winter and a lovely al fresco dining area so we can enjoy lunch in the garden in the summer.

Drop us a line via our contact form for more information or sign up for The Beat @ CrowMoon Drums where we will release workshop dates when we have them.

Shamanic Drum Birthing In Your Own Home

*Fancy birthing your own drum for free? If you can get five friends interested in birthing a drum, and can host the workshop, you will get your own drum for free as a thank you gift for hosting.

Prices

We know things have been difficult over the last couple of years so we're currently running our workshops at a discounted rate.

The price for a 16" deerskin drum is £210 per person. (This will be returning to the regular price of £240 per person from June.)

We always make drums with the simple cross style lacing on our workshops.

You may bring a crystal if you wish to weave one into your handle.

We provide the following:

  • 16 inch ash hoop.
  • Deer skin for the drum head and the lacing.
  • Materials to make a beater except for the stick – we ask you to find a stick that resonates with you for your beater. Please go to your local woods or park and look for a fallen branch no longer than 15 inches and as thick as a 10 pence to 50 pence piece.
  • Refreshments - Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available throughout the day.

What you need to bring:

  • A towel to carry your wet drum home.
  • A stick for your beater.
  • A crystal or stone (no bigger than a 10 pence piece) to weave into your drum if you wish.
  • A packed lunch.
  • Water bottle - Drum birthing can be thirsty work.
